Facilities available through the Davey ‘Buckeroo’ Lawrence Training Centre, home of the Girringun Aboriginal Art Centre.

The Keeping Place
Midja: is the traditional dwelling of the local rainforest people and is made out of locally available materials such as laywer cane and paperbark. These are tied together using string made from the inner bark of local trees.
The Keeping Place has several types of the different tools, woven baskets and fish/eel traps used by the local Aboriginal people to gather their food.
The Keeping Place is kept at a constant temperature and humidity to preserve the artefacts.
Training Centre
The Training Centre is made up of a large room with a centre divider for smaller groups and an outdoor covered area. The Training Centre can be hired for meetings and training workshops.
The Training Centre has comprehensive kitchen facilities attached for catering for meeting and workshops.
Internet Cafe
The Training Centre has an Internet Cafe consisting of 8 (eight) computer terminals.
